AP Lit Lesson 2 Point of View 1

1.) The point of view of the first passage is first person. We know this because the narrator refers to themselves as I throughout the passage.


2.) The point of view of the second passage is second person. We know this because the narrator refers to the other characters as he and/or she throughout the passage.


3.) Comparing the two passages. Passage 1 revalves around two characters and has almost tunnel vision around everything else. You don't find out must details that doesn't regard john and his father. In passage two has a much wider view of the story line and the three characters. You know much more about them and even some background details.
